Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to understand a loan offer and manage a loan with us, whatever their abilities and whatever device they use.
Last updated 9 October 2026
Our commitment
We design and build lombardprivate.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Our clients manage their loans only online, without email or telephone, so an accessible website and client area are not optional for us: they are the service.
Conformance status
Our target is full conformance with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Based on our own review, we believe the public pages of this website largely meet that standard, with the limitations described below. We correct the issues we find as a priority.
What we have done
- Colour and contrast. Our text and interface colours are checked against the WCAG contrast ratios, and information is never conveyed by colour alone: every risk level also has a text label.
- Keyboard. Menus, the loan simulator, accordions and tables can be used with a keyboard alone. A visible focus indicator shows where you are, a “Skip to content” link leads straight to the main content, and the Escape key closes open menus.
- Motion. When your device asks for reduced motion, the background video does not play and animations are minimised. The background video can also be paused at any time.
- Structure. Pages use semantic HTML with landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer), a single main heading, headings in a logical order, breadcrumbs and a declared language.
- Forms and results. Every field of the simulator has a label. Results and messages are announced to screen readers through live regions, and errors are explained in text.
- Tables. Data tables have header cells and accessible names, and wide tables are scrollable regions that can be reached with the keyboard.
- Images and icons. Decorative images and icons are hidden from assistive technologies; meaningful images have text alternatives.
- Zoom and small screens. Layouts adapt to small screens and to browser zoom without loss of content.
- Clean code. Our pages are checked with the W3C HTML validator.
Known limitations
- On small screens, some wide tables scroll horizontally rather than reflowing.
- The loan simulator refreshes its reference prices about once a minute; when the figures change, some screen readers may announce the results again.
- Public block explorers and other external websites we link to are not under our control and may not meet the same standard.
If any of these limitations prevents you from using our services, please tell us: we will help you and treat the issue as a priority.
Browsers and assistive technologies
This website is designed to work with recent versions of the main browsers, on computers and mobile devices, and with the screen readers and other assistive technologies they support. It does not require any plug-in, and its main content remains readable if scripts are disabled.
Feedback and contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, send us a secure message from your client area, choosing the topic “Accessibility”. Please tell us which page is concerned, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you use. We will reply in your client area.
Because the client area is our only channel of communication, if a barrier prevents you from using it, you may ask someone you trust to send the message for you, from your account or from a new one, which requires no personal details. We treat such reports as a priority.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 9 October 2026, on the basis of a self-assessment of the website against WCAG 2.2 level AA. We review it at least once a year and whenever we make significant changes to the website or the client area.
